Update & Flowers

First of all, I'd like to say that it is one of my most honest intentions to get this blog up and walking really soon.
I want to start posting more. Ideally, I'd love to post at least once a day, though with my academic schedule, that doesn't look like a huge possibility. However, maybe every other day? Or at least around three times a week, I'm hoping.

As of now, I know I've only got two readers, but I'll keep posting and hopefully you guys will keep reading!

Also, the other day I bought a flower bouquet for my mom's birthday and I took some photos of it! I thought they turned out well and that I'd share them with you!

This Broken City Sky

You're not in this alone
Let me break this awkward silence
Let me go
Go on record
Be the first to say I'm sorry
Hear me out
And if you take me down
Or would you lay me out
And if the world needs something better
Let's give them one more reason
Now
Now
Now

We walk in single file
We light our rails
And punch our time
Ride escalators colder than a cell

This broken city sky
Like butane on my skin
Stolen from my eyes
Hello Angel
Tell me where are you
Tell me where we go from here

This broken city sky
Like butane on my skin
Stolen from my eyes
Hello Angel
Tell me where are you
Tell me where we go from here
Tell me we go from

And in this moment we can't
Close the lids
On burning eyes
Our memories blanket us with
Friends we know
Like fallout vapors
Steel corpses stretch out towards an
Ending sun
Scorched and black
It reaches in and tears your
Flesh apart
As ice cold hands rip into your heart

That's if you've still got one that's left
Inside that cave you call a chest
And after seeing what we saw
Can we still reclaim our innocence
And if the world needs something better
Let's give them one more reason now

This broken city sky
Like butane on my skin
Stolen from my eyes
Hello Angel
Tell me where are you
Tell me where we go from here

This broken city sky
Like butane on my skin
Stolen from my eyes
Hello Angel
Tell me where are you
Tell me where we go from here
Tell me we go from here

"Skylines and Turnstiles" by My Chemical Romance

Remember today.

Oh, the Life of a Junior

Tonight was homecoming!

Yay!

A bunch of friends came over earlier today (or I guess now it was yesterday), and when I say "a bunch," I mean my house was swarming with girls (and a boy or two). And all of these girls were getting their hair ready, putting on makeup, getting into their gorgeous dresses, freaking out.
Okay, maybe I was the only one freaking out.

So I drove and one of my other friends drove to the venue, or whatever you want to call it, which took forever by the way. It also happened to be the night of the first football game for the college that our homecoming was being held at, so a ton of streets were blocked off and most of them are one-way, it was a nightmare getting there.

We finally get there, and I step out of the car... and my shoe broke. One of the little straps that connects to the heel of the shoe detached. Typical. Oh, and not only that, but I forgot my ticket to the dance at home. Which I didn't even realize until we were basically at the dance. I felt like I was in some quintessential teen drama right about then. Though, being the trooper that I am, I managed.

All of us walk into the dance and after a while we see this guy that I've liked forever. And ever.
And he's with this girl that I haven't ever liked. Ever. Awesome. Just awesome. It hurt, a lot. I'm not going to lie; it was hard to look at. But the show must go on, right? I looked awesome and I couldn't spend the entire night moping, though it seemed like a plausible option right about then.
So, my friends and I danced. We danced our white asses off. God, we are so white.
But it was great, really. My friends are amazing and they make me laugh and smile and I love them so, so much.

Being able to go to the dance with them was incredible, even though I see them everyday. They are all truly stunning people.

So, aside from a couple stabs in the heart from every time I saw the guy I like with some other girl, tonight was fantastic.

However, if my life were a cult classic...
I would have gone up and grabbed my guy, kissed him, and he'd have fallen in love with me right on the spot, finally seeing what's been infront of his eyes all this time.

Unfortunately, my life isn't a cult classic... But I can dream.

Always,
Alice

A Brief Background

First off, I've started Angel, Second Class (which is still very much under construction, don't worry, I'm working my hardest to make it as appealing and pleasing to the eye as possible!) as a lifestyle blog.

My friends over at Alles Mode have introduced me to Blogger, and so, here I am! As a side note, you should really check out their blog, because it's amazing (a million times more put together than mine is at the moment) and would definitely be of your interest if you enjoy fashion, music Mondays, and awesome people.

But I digress. For anyone who is the least bit curious, "Angel, Second Class" is a reference to It's a Wonderful Life, which happens to be my favorite Christmas movie of all time. Clarence, the angel helping George Bailey and trying to earn his wings describes himself as an AS2, or an "Angel, Second Class." And that would be my little blog title's origins.

Disclaimer! This blog will feature the following:
  • My life as an IB DP student (If you're not sure what that is, consider yourself lucky.)
  • Instagram photos
  • My photography
  • Reviews/thoughts/ideas on music (old and new.)
  • Occasional fangirling
  • Rants and venting about my life as an IB DP student
  • And a ton of other stuff but it's not like you'll remember anything on this list so...
When it comes down to working for scholarships and earning my diploma, this blog will be a dumpster for frustration and rants.

All other times, it will be for sharing the stuff that interests me.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I guess I should say some things about myself so you know you're not following a robot or the like.

Photography makes me happy, my photography makes me happy. I'm nowhere near fantastic at taking photos, and I won't claim to be.

Here are some of my pictures:

Music is something I love. I'm learning bass, so I'm getting closer to music. I don't think I'll ever hold it for too long though. Because only a few in the world can truly hold music. The rest of us hear it, see it, and feel it grace our skin. Sometimes we hold it for a moment, but that's really rare.

Reading is a passion of mine. New book suggestions are always welcome! My favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk, because, well, if you've read him you know and if you haven't then you should stop by your nearest library and check out any of his books and he'll be your favorite (or one of) really soon.

I wish I could cook well, but the culinary arts are not something I was innately gifted in. I'm slowly accepting that I can't make much more than Ramen noodles and rice.

Movies are cool. I'll probably blog about them here and there. The eighties classics have a special place in my heart.

That's it for now.

You'll learn more as I get this blog on its feet and walking.

Always,
Alice
